Perkins To Host Rumi Seminar: March 21, 2015
Four nationally recognized speakers will examine Rumi, the great mystic philosopher of 12th century, at a seminar co-hosted by Perkins on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
DALLAS (SMU) – Perkins School of Theology, with the Institute of Medieval and Post Medieval studies and The Dialogue Institute, will host a Rumi seminar on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Great Hall of Elizabeth Perkins Prothro Hall, located on the SMU campus at 5901 Bishop Blvd. Four nationally recognized speakers will examine Rumi, the great mystic philosopher of 12th century whose universal message of religious harmony and peace in the world has influenced both east and west.
The speakers include:
• Dr. Robert Hunt, Perkins School of Theology, SMU
• Dr. Ori Soltes, Georgetown University
• Dr. Farid Younos, California State University
• Dr. Mahmoud Sadri, Texas Women's University

Perkins School of Theology, founded in 1911, is one of five official University-related schools of theology of The United Methodist Church.
