Evening Session of Inside Perkins Planned for Oct. 8

Participants will have an opportunity to learn about our programs, speak with faculty and attend an actual evening class.

DALLAS (SMU) – Are you investigating a possible career switch or interested in what a graduate program in theology entails?

Perkins School of Theology invites all prospective degree and non-degree students to attend Inside Perkins, a free on-campus information session scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.

This is the first evening version of Inside Perkins of the academic year. Participants will have an opportunity to speak with Perkins Dean William B. Lawrence, learn more about the variety of degree programs the school offers, speak with faculty members as well as attend an actual evening class taught at the school.

Perkins School of Theology, founded in 1911, is one of five official University-related schools of theology of The United Methodist Church. Degree programs include the Master of Divinity, Master of Sacred Music, Master of Theological Studies, Master of Arts in Ministry, Master of Theology, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Pastoral Music (June 2016) as well as the Ph.D., in cooperation with The Graduate Program in Religious Studies at SMU’s Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences.
