Chanticleer sings "with astonishing beauty" - Dallas News

Art & Soul 2012 Concert Receives Rave Review

Art & Soul
2012 presented the multiple Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer, October 28, at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in the Dallas Arts District. In an October 29 review for The Dallas Morning News, Classical Music Critic Scott Cantrell writes: "For the life of me, I can’t remember choral singing more drop-dead, chills-down-the-back elegant than that offered Sunday night by the male vocal ensemble Chanticleer." Art & Soul is a quadrennial program made possible by the Claudia and Taylor Robinson Lectureship at Perkins School of Theology. Claudia and Taylor Robinson, both graduates of Southern Methodist University, established the fund with the intention that it be devoted to surveying the arts as interpreters of religious beliefs and practices.
