Marlee Klein

How do you plan to give back to SMU in the long-term future?

I plan to give back to the university in the short-term by sharing my experiences - in Dallas, in the business world, and in public accounting. In the long-term, I hope to be able to give back to SMU monetarily, ideally through the establishment of a scholarship fund. An education at SMU would not have been possible for me without the Hunt Leadership Scholars Program, and I hope to fund programs like this to bring the best and brightest students to the school!

SMU gives students the opportunity to meet influential people, utilize the world as a classroom, and connect with work that impacts the community. I chose SMU for more than one reason but the main one that stood out is the learning environment that SMU offers. I also feel very fortunate to have been exposed to the amazing networking connections that SMU has.

Robert Burrell Leadership and Involvement Scholarship

Brittani Strickland

Brie is a Junior from Boca Raton, Florida.  She is majoring in Communication Studies, Anthropology, Public Relations and Strategic Communication, and she plans to graduate in 2014.

Why did you choose SMU?

My decision to come to SMU wasn't based off any fact or figures but rather the people itself. The minute I stepped onto SMU's campus, I could feel the sense of family and community and could see how happy all the students were. SMU invests so much in their students' happiness and I knew that if a campus could make me feel like that than I would be more apt to succeed and give back to the school.
