  • Tanner removed from window well multiple times; built an escape ladder
  • Binkley feeders moved to Central Expy retaining wall in anticipation of Binkley demolition
  • Caruth feeder moved to Embrey in anticipation of demolition
  • meeting with Leon Bennett and another with Bob Casagrande & CPPO about demolition plans
  • attended meeting of the new UTD feral cat program to offer advice and share experiences
  • trained 1 new student volunteer (Lauren) & 2 staff volunteers (Cori & Robert)
  • interview with SMU journalism class
  • 18 nights of trapping
  • spay/neutered 4 cats (Stinky Pete, Paloma, Esme, Vincent)
  • handled 1 medical emergency (Cupcake)
  • handled 1 foster/adoption (Esme)

2007

  • 2 cats retrieved from window wells (Tanner (Feb.) & Jungle Girl (Sept.))
  • ~8 cats lured from University Gardens demolition area & relocated at Binkley
  • established temporary winter shelters for cats in Bradfield demolition area
  • trained 4 new volunteers (Kim, Beth, Deb, Pauline)
  • handled 8 adoptions (Kizmet, Caruth white kitten, Gemini, Osiris, Rooney & Tut, Chance, Tip)
  • handled 2 medical emergencies (Kizmet, Gray Momma)
  • 18 nights of trapping
  • spay/neutered 5 cats (DK, Jazz, Julie, LuLu, Chance)
  • hosted North Texas Campus Cat Coalition seminar (June)
  • answered 3 "how do we start a program on our campus?" requests
  • financial account switched from unrestricted to restricted (meaning we keep all unspent funds)
  • set up a donations table ($104)
  • received SMU matching (Summerlee) funds (5K)

2006
