Associate Professor of Law and Medical Ethicist
SMU Law Professor Tom Mayo is an associate professor in Dedman School of Law and a nationally recognized authority on medical ethics.
In addition to his position at SMU, he is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He teaches courses in the areas of health care law, bioethics, medical-legal humanities, constitutional law, administrative law, and legislation.
Between Jan. 1 –26, 2014, SMU Dedman Law Professor Tom Mayo, a nationally respected expert on medical ethics, was featured in 870+ media outlets discussing the Marlise Munoz (brain-dead pregnant mother) end-of-life case.
