DALLAS (SMU) — SMU alumnus Brendan Nix was the grand prize winner of SMU’s “Tag, You’re It” Commencement Social Media Contest. Nix, who tweeted a generational photo regarding his mother receiving her graduate degree, will receive two vouchers from Southwest Airlines. Other winners included Alexandra Totah and Thomas Case, who received SMU football tickets. Callie Summers and Kelly Gilliland won SMU Texas license plate gift cards from MyPlates.com.

The contest encouraged alumni and graduates to share photos from SMU’s 2014 Commencement via various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Vine and Instagram using the hashtag #SMU2014. The hashtag generated more than 800 social media posts. To view all of the posts from SMU’s 2014 Commencement contest, visit tagboard.com/smu2014. All winners were selected randomly.
