Join SMU as we celebrate the Fourth in local parades and festivities:

Rotary Park Cities Parade

Thursday, July 4
9 a.m.

Join the Mustang Band and Peruna at the annual Park Cities Fourth of July Parade hosted by the Park Cities Rotary. Honored guests on the SMU float include Bill Vanderstraaten, former SMU Alumni Board Chair, and Leslie Melson, current SMU Alumni Board chair.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. on Euclid Avenue and winds from Highland Park Town Hall to the University Park City Hall. Make sure to get a picture with Peruna and a tricorner hat at the SMU booth and enjoy many other family activities at Goar Park following the parade.

Exchange Club of Lake Highlands Parade

Thursday, July 4
9 a.m.

Join SMU Military Vets, SMU student athletes and SMU Cheer for family fun at the annual 4th of July Parade hosted by the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. in front of North Highlands Bible Church, 9626 Church Road (near Lake Highlands High School tennis courts) and travels to the Lake Highlands North Recreation Center. A fun carnival immediately follows the parade. Find the SMU booth to get photos with SMU cheer and enjoy the food, performers, games and entertainment for all ages until noon.
