Celebration of Lights rings in the holiday season

SMU's Celebration of Lights was held on December 4, kicking off the holiday season with singing, reading of the Christmas Story and lighting the Main Quad with 100,000 lights.

SMU's annual Celebration of Lights kicked off the holiday season with the lighting of the campus Christmas tree and Main Quad with more than 100,000 lights. This year's ceremony was on Sunday evening, December 4.

The celebration included the singing of songs of the season, live performers and the reading of the Christmas story SMU President R. Gerald Turner.

The holiday tradition is sponsored by the SMU Student Foundation.
