Dean José Bowen, Meadows Dancers To Perform as Part of Unprecedented Collaboration of Dallas Arts Community

"A Gathering: The Dallas Arts Community Reflects on 30 Years of AIDS" to be performed Dec. 6 at the Winspear Opera House

Dean José Bowen and several Meadows dance students will be a part of history on Tuesday night as they take the stage at the Winspear Opera House in A Gathering: The Dallas Arts Community Reflects on 30 Years of AIDS. The event, which is being billed as the largest collaboration on a single stage in North Texas history, brings together artists from a dozen area groups including the Dallas Black Dance Theatre, the Dallas Opera and SMU Meadows, in a one-night-only performance commemorating 30 years of AIDS. A Gathering will feature dance performances, solo songs, videos and more, and 100% of the proceeds will directly benefit four of Dallas' leading AIDS service organizations.
