Both undergraduate and graduate theatre students have an opportunity to participate in Les Subsistances in Lyons, France. Every spring, Les Subsistances presents a three-day weekend festival of innovative theatre, dance and mixed media performances by artists from all over the world. The festival is followed by a two-week residency of workshops and classes for graduate students, taught by French artists/teachers, culminating in the students’ creation of a multi-media performance piece. The emphasis is interdisciplinary, and Meadows students from not only the Division of Theatre but Art and Dance participated in 2009.
