Andrew Corbitt

Recording Engineer

Andrew Corbitt is a Recording Engineer for the Division of Music at Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.  He records, edits, mixes and masters Meadows Orchestra, Meadows Symphony and chamber group concerts, faculty and guest concerts, student recitals and occasional rehearsals, copies of which are archived in the SMU library system.

Corbitt is a trained sound designer, certified recording and mixing engineer, and has composed music for electronic music libraries and video games. Before coming to SMU, he worked at the world-renowned recording facility Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, Calif.  He has recorded, mixed and engineered sound in various environments for clients that include local and international artists, producers, composers, videographers and video game designers.  Corbitt is certified in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reason, Melodyne Editor, Antares AutoTune and Waves Plugins and holds degrees from the The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Gilbert, Ariz., and The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
