Film and Media Arts

Joe Pirro

Adjunct Professor

After years working in the wonderful world of advertising, I was offered the opportunity to teach an Electronic Media Sales class and an Electronic Media Management class for the CTV department. While a theory-based foundation is important in an education, I made it my mission to expose students to the real world of a career in media. Few of my students aspire specifically to become an electronic media manager and even fewer to enter into a sales position. However, they leave my classes with knowledge, insights and skills that will be useful no matter where life's path takes them. I truly care about my students and teach with a passion that I hope comes through. Students (age 21 or older!) can catch my band Gray & In The Way gigging around the Metroplex a couple of weekends every month.
