Internships and participation in film festivals provide ways for students to gain hands-on experience in their field. The annual Autumn Film Festival brings in renowned industry guests who participate in classroom discussions with students. The Spring Festival, sponsored by the Student Filmmakers Association, is an excellent opportunity for students to present their work to a larger audience. Students may compete for internships at a variety of film and television companies in Dallas, Los Angeles and New York.
