Director of Communications
Victoria Winkelman grew up in the Northeast and Texas and, after college, found a job with a small public relations agency in NYC and has stayed in the profession ever since. She spent several years with the agency working on such accounts as the German National Tourist Office, the General Aviation Manufacturers’ Association, 7-Eleven and The Greenbrier resort, then another six years in corporate PR with Union Pacific in Manhattan. A lifelong lover of wildlife, she gave up New York to move back to Dallas and become the Public Relations Officer for the Dallas Zoo, a post she held for 14 years. After a year in Detroit due to a family move, she returned to Texas and joined the Meadows School of the Arts’ marketing department in 2001. She handles media relations, writing and editing for Meadows and, even though she can’t act, paint or sing, she appreciates and enjoys working with those who can.
