Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Mary Guthrie began her communications career as a freshman at Meadows School of the Arts working for campus radio station KSMU. Since then she has worked in public relations, marketing, strategic planning and promotion. Past positions have included VP of strategic communications for accredited history museum Dallas Heritage Village, public relations director for Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA-TV and managing editor for Dallas Child magazine. Mary has also worked producing laser light shows for Projected Imagery and editing a fine art photography book for auction house Heritage Auction Galleries. She was a founding board member of the urban Cedars Neighborhood Association in Dallas and has twice served on the board of the Dallas Songwriters Association. In her free time she writes songs and plays guitar and bass for the trio Sugar Daddy and the M&Ms.

Mary joined the staff of Meadows School of the Arts in 2011. She writes and edits content for the school website, MPRINT magazine and promotional materials. She also has the honor of presenting information sessions to undergraduate prospective students and their families.
