Biography
Cynthia Watson’s career in higher education began as an accountant at the University of Southern Mississippi. She then moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she worked at Texas Tech University in the office of financial accounting, the office of tax compliance and the Provost’s office.
Watson joined Meadows School of the Arts in May 2011 as the director of business and finance and is responsible for overseeing Meadows’ operating and capital accounting budgets, providing forecasting and analysis, financial review and budget monitoring, annual merit process, annual budget process, and contract administration. She is a certified public accountant and is equally proud of one of the best compliments she has received, that she has the mind of an accountant but the heart of an artist.
