What is the Engineering Camp at SMU?
This two-day program is designed for girls and boys entering 7th - 10th grade in Fall 2013. Students will explore engineering through hands-on, interactive projects which show how engineering is related to social concerns, community interest and individual development.
Objectives of the camp include:
- Hands-on engineering experience through team projects.
- Discover careers in engineering from Dallas-based engineers.
- Learn about college.
- Make new friends that share your interest in math, science and engineering!
Camp is open to all girls and boys who will be entering the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th grades in Fall 2013.
Girls and boys entering 11th and 12th grade should consider the Lyle Engineering Innovation Camps.
The cost of the camp is $125 per student which includes lunch both days.
Applications are not considered complete until the necessary forms have been submitted and payment has been received. Lyle Summer Programs will send registrant's a confirmation of attendance by email after application, liability release form, photo release form, a camp fee are received.
