    TrunkMonkey is the first ever inflatable, portable bike carrier for cars. Its innovative design allows users to mount any bicycle to the rear end of virtually any vehicle in minutes without risking damage to the vehicle or the bike. TrunkMonkey was conceived and developed in the Deason Innovation Gymnasium by SMU student Tyler Nelson. The company is currently distributing product nationwide via retail stores and online sales with plans to expand internationally within the next year.

    Why So Ever makes things for irreverent readers.  Its flagship product is Dick: A Card Game Based on the Novel by Herman Melville, which was created in 2015 by SMU English professor Tim Cassedy and SMU students Chelsea Grogan ’15 and Jenna Peck ‘15.  The company is developing several other literary games and entertainments.

    Photodigm DBR laser diodes are precisely fabricated to deliver single frequency, single mode output in the near-IR spectral band from about 740 nm to 1100 nm. The ridge waveguide selects a single spatial mode, and the monolithic DBR grating selects a single longitudinal mode. With a narrow bandwidth on the order of 1 MHz, Photodigm DBR lasers are uniquely suited to applications in atom sensors, non-linear, and spectroscopy.
