Eswar Yarrapareddy, PhD Candidate, is one of the seven graduate students selected for the 2006 Arthur E. Focke LeaderShape Award from ASM International’s Materials Education Foundation. Under this award Eswar will get six-day training from LeaderShape institute at Champaign, IL in this summer. According to W.K. Kellogg Foundation the LeaderShape Institute was named as one of the "exemplary programs" which the Foundation funded for its 31 programs. According to LeaderShape institute website the participants rated their overall experience with LeaderShape very positively. They perceived their leadership skills and abilities as being improved because of the training they received. The ultimate vision of this training is to improve society by inspiring, developing, and supporting more people committed to lead with integrity.
