    Faculty members in the Department of Electrical Engineering publish their research in the premier journals, magazines and conferences in their fields. Examples of such venues include IEEE Transactions, ACM conferences, and OSA journals.

    The Electrical Engineering Department offers undergraduate and graduate courses, spanning all core areas of our discipline. These courses which serve as required and elective courses in the curricula of the different degrees offered by the Department.

    The EE departmental laboratories are located in the Jerry Junkins Building on the SMU campus. These labs are used both for teaching and research. These facilities include labs for signal processing, communications and networking, circuit design, antenna design, and a cleanroom fabrication facility.
