Departmental Distinction

The Departmental Distinction program offers students the opportunity to engage in an advanced undergraduate research experience project with a member of the department faculty. Computer science or computer engineering students can opt to pursue this program during their junior and senior years. A request to participate in the program must be submitted to the departmental undergraduate adviser during the junior year. The program is designed and intended for students with superior academic records. To earn departmental distinction with a major from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, a student must fulfill the school requirements. Upon successful completion and approval by the department chair, the appropriate B. S. degree or B. A. degree will be awarded with departmental distinction.
