Our Computer Science degree plan allows students to choose a "track" or area of specialization for their senior level elective courses. We are happy to announce the addition of the Bioinformatics Track to the BS CS degree program. The Bioinformatics track offers both broad exposure and in-depth study of bioinformatics and computational biology issues. This track covers biological sequence analysis, proteomics, microarray data analysis, system biology, and data mining in Bioinformatics. Undergraduate students majoring in Bioinformatics are required to take courses in the Biology department to gain more biology background.
