Lauren Allbright

Exit Strategy

Lauren Allbright roamed the southern states before landing in Texas and calling it home. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she spent her days teaching middle schoolers and her nights reading books. Now when she is not writing (or momming), she enjoys training for half-marathons and triathlons as well as camping with her family. She lives in Dallas with her patient husband, three high-energy children, six (give or take) fish, one overly excitable cocker spaniel, and (the slowest ever) guinea pig named Blaster. Her writing has appeared in many different publications, including the Huffington Post, and her middle grade novel, EXIT STRATEGY, will be published by Aladdin/S&S June 6, 2017.

Andresen, Beth

Beth Andresen

Color and Activity Book for Librarians (or anybody who has worked at a library)

Beth Andresen (pen name E.B. Nesser) is an artist and web designer.  A lifelong literary aficionado, she spent countless childhood hours perusing the stacks of her local library.  She has found herself at home in libraries as an adult as well, working as a photo researcher in an archives, a Jill-of-many-trades at an urban library, and a web designer at an academic library.

The Color and Activity Book for Librarians is an homage to the wonderfully creative and passionate people who make libraries.

Ms. Andresen currently lives in Dallas and works for Southern Methodist University’s Office of Information Technology.

Logan Barnard

Logan Barnard

Moggin Says Red

Logan Barnard wrote Moggin Says Red at one of his mother's book signings in Lawton, Oklahoma when he was just a first-grader himself. He tried to sell his first handwritten copy to passersby for the low price of $50, but when he couldn't, he agreed to let his mother submit it to contests for him. And guess what? It won!

Now in the fourth grade and living back home in the Permian Basin area of west Texas, Logan is an advocate of autism awareness as well as being a fan of Marvel superheroes, Rocky Balboa, and is a top speller at his school. Logan hopes that Moggin can help children the world over learn their colors.

Sara Barnard

The ABC's of Texas Plants

Sara Barnard, the mother to author Logan and his three siblings, is a prolific author of books for children and adults, as well as holding her BA in European Medieval History and elementary teaching certification.

Sara Barnard is a member of the Western Fictioneers, the Romance Writers of America, Hearts Through History, the Permian Basin Bookies, and is represented by Julie Gwinn of The Seymour Agency.

Sara and her children make their home in the Permian Basin area of west Texas with the roadrunners, tumbleweeds, and a pack of rescue animals that accompany the family on their adventures.
