  • Who do I see at SMU about resources for student veterans?
    SMU is committed to providing our student veterans and servicemembers with the tools they need for academic success. Visit the Community and Campus Resource pages for more information.

  • I am failing one of my courses. How can I get help?
    If you are having difficulty in a class, your first contact should be your professor to discuss your coursework and obtain suggestions for improvement. In addition, the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center (ALEC) offers a number of academic support services ranging from individual tutoring, to a Writing Center to help with papers in any class, to workshops on various study skills.

  • What resources are there for me once I graduate?
    As part of the SMU family, alumni receive special benefits, including:
    • Secure access to the online Alumni Directory to find friends and read or report the latest news about classmates and friends
    • Invitations to alumni and campus events
    • Career services Hegi Family Career Development Center - SMU - Dallas 
    • Access to SMU’s libraries
