Will you be commuting to SMU? There are many students who choose to commute and SMU has several services in place on campus to make it easier.
Located on the main level of the Hughes-Trigg Student Center, the Commuter Lounge is a comfortable place to go between classes. Whether you're meeting friends, studying, or relaxing, the Commuter Lounge provides a place to take a break.
Inside the Commuter Lounge, lockers are available to store your belongings during the day. Lockers rent for $12.50 per semester or $20.00 if you sign up for the full academic year. To reserve a locker, go to the Mane Desk on the main level of the Hughes-Trigg Student Center or call 214-768-4444 for more information.

The Hughes-Trigg Student Center offers a variety of services that allow you to “run errands” without leaving campus. You will find an ATM, Post Office, Copy Central by Alphagraphics, Willy’s Hair Salon, courtesy telephones, wireless internet, Java City Cyber Café, a variety of dining options including Chick-Fil-A, Montague’s Deli, Pizza Hut and Subway, and The Market convenience store.
To make campus as accessible as possible, SMU provides a variety of parking and transportation options. Understanding your options will make campus access easier. The Park ‘N Pony Office has all the information you need to obtain a parking permit and learn where to park.
Dart Rail Pass
Tired of rush hour taking away precious study time? Why not ride DART to SMU!!! For a one-time $5.00 fee, you can purchase a DART Transit Pass which gives you unlimited access to trains and buses throughout the DART system. Make connections at both the Mockingbird and Lovers Lane Rail Stations and then ride the Mustang Express to the center of campus on Bishop Boulevard. Don’t worry - you don’t need to know how to cook to live off campus! SMU meal plans are available to all SMU students. There are a variety of meal plans available and commuter students may select from any membership plan including the Metro Membership (Plan H), a meal plan designed especially for students living off campus.
