Ceremony Information

Baccalaureate Service, McFarlin Auditorium

The Baccalaureate Service, for undergraduate degree candidates, will take place on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. in McFarlin Auditorium. Guests with tickets must be in their seats by 7:30 p.m. Doors to McFarlin open at 6:45 p.m.   

Guest tickets are required for admittance to the Baccalaureate ceremony for undergraduate degree candidates held in McFarlin Auditorium. All undergraduate candidates are entitled to two tickets for their guests. Tickets are not required for the simulcast of the Baccalaureate service in the Theater of Hughes-Trigg Student Center.

Extra tickets that are not picked up for Baccalaureate will be distributed on the stairs in front of McFarlin Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Guests With Tickets
Doors to McFarlin Auditorium open at 6:45 p.m. Early arrival is advised. Guests with tickets must be in their seats by 7:30 p.m.  

Guests without Tickets
Extra tickets that are not picked up for Baccalaureate will be distributed on the stairs in front of McFarlin Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, a live simulcast of the Baccalaureate service will be offered in the Theatre of the Hughes-Trigg Student Center. Guests without a ticket may attend the simulcast; a shuttle cart will run between McFarlin Auditorium and Hughes-Trigg. Elderly guests or guests with children often choose to attend the simulcast due to the ease of entering and exiting the building for the Rotunda Recessional.

Guests with Mobility Impairments
Guests with disabilities can park in the lot located on the northwest side of McFarlin Auditorium facing Hillcrest Avenue. Entrance to this lot is from McFarlin Boulevard. You may enter McFarlin Auditorium using the ramp on the southeast side of the building, off of McFarlin Boulevard. Ushers will be available for assistance. Guests' current state-issued disabled parking placard and license plates are needed to park in this area. Additional parking passes are not needed.

Commencement Convocation

The morning May Commencement Convocation in Moody Coliseum has limited guest seating. Tickets are not required for guests, but in consideration of all the candidates, each graduation candidate is asked to limit guests to no more than four attending in Moody Coliseum. Saving seats is not permitted.

Overflow guests are invited to attend the simulcast of the Commencement Convocation in the Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports, Crum Auditorium or on the outdoor screen on Mustang Plaza. The ceremony is also live streamed on the internet at

Please note that mobility impaired seating is limited. The Commencement Convocation is a lengthy and formal event not suitable for infants or young children.  

Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and guests are encouraged to be seated by 8:45 a.m.
