The Barnes and Noble SMU Bookstore provides Academic Ceremonies with regalia for SMU’s Honorary Degrees, Trustees to the University, and other dignitaries who are a part of the Platform Party during each of the five academic ceremonies held throughout the year. They are the official distributor of Southern Methodist University’s custom regalia.
D&L Entertainment Services provides ushering services to Academic Ceremonies during , December Graduation, Baccalaureate and May Commencement in both McFarlin Auditorium and Moody Coliseum.

Flash Photography is the preferred photographer for Academic Ceremonies. Flash photographs candidates at our Graduation Fairs, December Graduation, Honors Day Convocation, several of the May Diploma Ceremonies, and all Doctoral candidates who participate in May Commencement Convocation.
Herff Jones is the preferred provider of graduation announcements and invitations, and created SMU’s custom academic regalia. This regalia, designed specifically for SMU, was inaugurated in May 2009, and is now worn by all graduates during academic ceremonies each May and December.
