Meet at the Flagpole, 10:00 AM

Join us for a bus tour of historic Dallas! Dr. Doyle will be our tour guide as we explore Klyde Warren Park, the Arts District, Fair Park, Turtle Creek, Freedmen's Town, Dealey Plaza, Oak Cliff, and more! We'll stop for lunch downtown so be sure to bring money! Contact Dr. Doyle to reserve your seat on the bus!

Gartner Honors Lecture Series Presents: 19th Century Germany & Sexuality featuring Robert Tobin

Scholars' Den, 5 PM

Robert Tobin, raised in Eugene, Oregon, received his A.B. in German Literature from Harvard and his M.A. and Ph.D. in German Literature from Princeton. He has spent extensive time in Germany during his studies. His most recent book Peripheral Desires: The German Discovery of Sex, showcases the origins of modern day cultural phenomena.

Gartner Lecture Series: From Tragedy to Human Rights Activism featuring Rais Bhuiyan

Subject of the book The True American: Murder and Mercy in Texas, Rais Bhuiyan, will be speaking about his experiences as the victim of a hate crime in the wake of of the September 11th attacks in 2001. Those students who received this book at the book giveaway will be able to have dinner with the speaker!
