Dr. Peter Moore joined the Mathematics Department in Dedman College in August 2000. He came to Dallas after serving eleven years as a faculty member in the Mathematics Department at Tulane University in New Orleans. From August 2005 to May 2009 he served as Chair of the Mathematics Department. From June 2009 to July 2010 he was the acting Dean of Dedman College. He has also served on the Provost's Committee on Promotion and Tenure for three years. His research area is in the computational solution of reaction-diffusion equations that occur in a variety of scientific and engineering applications.
