The demand in the globalized workplace for bilingual and multilingual individuals is strong. Recently graduated French majors have:
- gone on to graduate school at Oxford University to study art history
- attended law school in Montreal to study French and British law
- taught for two years in urban schools under the auspices of Teach for America
- received French government assistantships to teach English for a year in French schools
- served in the Peace Corps in (francophone) Cameroun
- taken positions, right after graduation, in major companies in Dallas, New York and Paris
