Duties & Responsibilities:Teaching undergraduate level and graduate level statistics courses.

Position Qualifications:The Department of Statistical Science at Southern Methodist University invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer appointment beginning Spring/January 2018. This position is a nine-month appointment with a three-year renewable contract. The successful candidate will teach four courses in each of the fall and spring semesters, or three courses and a substantial service component. Additional teaching opportunities are sometimes available during the summer as well as, short sessions in January and May, compensation is on a per course basis for courses taught during these terms. The opportunity for promotion to Senior Lecturer is primarily based on successful reviews on teaching and service. Professional activity related to teaching is strongly encouraged. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in statistics, or a related field and must have experience in teaching undergraduate and or master’s level courses in introductory or applied statistics.
