Markets and Culture is an excellent major for students who wish to pursue an MBA. The major provides the curriculum to achieve the strong writing skills, critical and analytical thinking, computer competence, cultural knowledge, organizational and leadership capabilities, and professional experience required by the top MBA programs. The major is also well suited for students who want to pursue a PhD in business or sociology programs with concentrations on management, organization theory or economic sociology.

Recent graduates have pursued graduate education in business, marketing, accounting, law, medicine, and real estate at the SMU Cox School of Business, the London School of Economics, New York University, the University of Westminster, the University of San Diego, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Chicago Law School, among others.
