SMU’s Assessment Clinic is housed in the Psychology Department, and offers low-cost comprehensive Psychoeducational and Psychological evaluations. The fixed fee is $500.00.
What is this service?
A Psychoeducational Evaluation is designed to evaluate and diagnose learning and attention problems for students of any age (5 to adult). A Psychological Evaluation is designed to diagnose emotional or behavioral problems (children and adults). We use standardized, national-normed measures.
What is the cost?
The evaluations are performed for a flat rate of $500.00, payable by check or cash.
Where is the testing?
The evaluations are conducted at 6116 N. Central Expressway (SMU East campus). This is a high-rise building with an “SMU East Campus” sign at the top, located on the southeast corner of North Central Expressway and SMU Boulevard.
Who does the testing?
The evaluations are conducted by graduate students in the Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology at SMU. They are supervised by faculty members Drs. Robert Hampson, James Calvert, and Lorelei Rowe.
