Robert H. and Nancy Dedman Endowed Chair

The Department of Economics in Dedman College at SMU is seeking applications and nominations to fill the Robert H. and Nancy Dedman Endowed Chair effective Fall 2012. Position No. 00050799. In addition to a Ph.D. in economics, the candidate should have an outstanding record of scholarly publications in prestigious economics journals, proven leadership in directing Ph.D. dissertations in the candidate's field of expertise, and a record of excellence in teaching and involvement in university and departmental affairs.  The search is open to senior economists (Associate or Full Professor level) in any field.  The appointment comes with tenure. Assistant Professor

The Department of Economics in Dedman College at SMU expects to appoint a tenure-track, assistant professor effective Fall 2012. The Ph.D. is required by August 1, 2012 and candidates should show strong research potential and a clear commitment to excellence in teaching.  The selection committee will continue to accept applications until the position is filled and will notify applicants of its appointment decisions.
