A trip to India in 2008 propelled my interest in health and access to care, which pushed me along the anthropology route. I completed my BA in Anthropology at The University of Texas at Austin. During my time in Austin, I worked as a medical assistant at an OB/GYN clinic which got me interested in women's health and reproductive care. With my entire extended family residing in North India, my professional goals are also personal in nature. I wish to pursue preventive care with respect to women's reproductive health among South Asian women.

Entered program in 2013.
