I am an archaeologist/mapper universalis in jungles and deserts, and not only. I have worked in the Mediterranean and the Maya lowlands and I am writing my dissertation on ancestral Puebloan architecture. Techniques and materials used in prehistoric dwellings intrigue me as I seek to understand the builders' choices, and I tend to work with GIS to quantify and visualize past landscapes.
