I came to the Cultural Anthropology program at SMU in the fall of 2011 after working for three years as a paralegal at a law firm in Nashville, Tennessee. My academic background is in Women's Studies (M.A. from University of Memphis) and Psychology (B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University). I am looking forward to doing research in South America (Argentina in particular). I am most interested in feminist anthropology, power, intersectionality theory, and issues of women's status.
