Career DayThe Anthropology Career Day is an opportunity for SMU students to interact with professionals from a variety of businesses and industries in which anthropological tools and training may be put to use. Career Day interviews and informal conversation will help students to communicate professionally and to network with potential employers, future internship sites, and potential research collaborators. Guest employers and agencies will be given a brief overview of the department, including a description of the skills training within the Major and Minor, plus a Resume Bank of pre-registered students.

The Career Day Schedule is partially structured but with time dedicated to open networking. In the Scheduled Interviews (11:40am - 2:00pm), pre-registered students will meet with employers in 10 minute sessions. Afterwards, we will host an Open Reception when we will open the doors to non-registered students, including lower classmen and non-anthropology Majors, to visit informally with employers.
