The Pre-Med/Pre-Health Program at SMU

Welcome to Pre-Med/Pre-Health at SMU!  The program serves students throughout the university, regardless of majors chosen.  Pre-Med/Pre-Health students major in a variety of disciplines and pursue admission to medical and dental colleges, as well as other health professions schools, including those that prepare people for: optometry, pharmacy, podiatry, physical therapy, physician assistant, veterinary medicine and chiropractic medicine.  The program consists of advising, a core curriculum, and student organizations – AED, MAPS, and the Pre-Dental Discussion Group.  To discover more about the Pre-Med/Pre-Health program and find information about preparing for entry to health professions schools, click on the links to the right.
