Academic Advising

students on dh steps

Academic advising is an important process for every student, therefore all students must meet with their assigned advisor prior to enrolling for an academic term. Advisors assist students in planning majors and minors, understanding their Degree Progress Reports (DPR), and scheduling courses that will count toward their graduation requirements.

With some exceptions, most students meet their academic advisor during AARO (Academic Advising, Registration, and Orientation). These advising pages can help you make the most of your time with your advisor by preparing and planning. Follow the links on the left for valuable information and resources to help you be successful at Dedman College.
