A clarification on employment opportunities for our international students:

With the F1 Visa, it is possible to work for approximately a year after graduation in order to gain work experience. Our degree program does not require specific work experience, so CPT (curricular professional training) is not part of the program. OPT (optional professional training) is, of course, possible. We have had some success connecting to firms that offer OPT “internships” and we intend to build this pool of firms. It is also possible for international students to find, through their own initiative, firms willing to sponsor OPT and, ultimately perhaps, a work visa. But it is most likely that international students will utilize their training from any American MSF program to pursue career objectives within their home countries. An exciting employment channel is American companies seeking to fill positions overseas with MSF graduates. Our career services seminar builds skills for seeking out these firms.
