Is the global trip required?

Yes. It is a 3 credit hour course. Historically, we have traveled in October of Year 2. 


Where do I apply?

How many years of work experience do I need to qualify?

Strong candidates for the Executive MBA Program should have at least 8 years. Prospective students with less than 8 year are encouraged to contact us for pre-screening.


Do I need to take the GMAT?

We do not required standardized tests for admission (GMAT/GRE).


I've been out of school for a long time.  Are there ways you help us prepare for the program?

Yes; along with tutorials for Accounting, and Statistics we have workshops in Advanced Reading Skills. During orientation, we also provide tips on how to study effectively.


When does the program start?

The next class starts in August of 2018.


When are classes?

Classes are held on alternating Fridays and Saturdays. Most Fridays will be half days; students attend the morning or afternoon session. The classes are from 8:00-11:50 a.m. and 1:10-5:00 p.m. Fridays and 8:00-11:50 a.m. and 12:50-4:40 p.m. Saturdays.


How much is the program and what does that amount include?

The Cox Executive MBA Program tuition for the class entering fall 2017 is $120,150. The tuition covers the cost of academic cases, use of the Business Information Center, parking, meals on each class day, lodging, and some meals associated with the required global trip. In addition there is a $2,800 nonrefundable deposit (not applied towards tuition) that guarantees your place in the class. Please see the chart below for estimated payment due dates. Official tuition payment dates can be found at the university bursar's office.

What will my degree be listed as?

All diplomas will be a Master of Business Administration. The degree does not distinguish among the different MBA formats at SMU Cox and is fully accredited by AACSB international.
