We encourage all candidates to gather as much information as possible while in the recruiting process. By attending events, speaking with current students and alumni, and interacting with faculty and staff, candidates are able to gain a better understanding of the Cox culture.

  • Phone Chat
Speaking with a member of the EMBA team is the best way to begin learning more about our program. In a short phone conversation, we hope to learn more about your background and MBA goals. We will provide you with personalized information about the program and answer any questions you have about admission. We conduct phone chats throughout the week, including some Saturdays. To schedule, email your resume to Delania Teems.
  • Class Visit
Attend an EMBA class on Friday or Saturday and experience the students, faculty and staff firsthand. Sitting in on a live class session allows candidates to gain a true appreciation of the interaction among students and faculty. We invite students to our upcoming class visits after an initial phone interview is completed. To schedule a class visit email your resume to Delania Teems for additional details.
  • Coffee Chat with the Assistant Dean or Associate Director
Candidates can speak with Tom Perkowski Assistant Dean of the EMBA Program, or Debbie Macedonia, Associate Director, regarding individual career goals and whether the Cox EMBA Program is a good fit for you. Work experience, career goals, support and academics will all be discussed and we are happy to answer any questions that you might have about the program or admission. To schedule, email your resume to Delania Teems for additional details.
  • Chat with Current Student
Meet current students over coffee or breakfast to discuss the EMBA Program. Candidates should come prepared with questions regarding work-life balance, the classroom experience, hours required and other topics they may have on their mind. If time permits, candidates can also schedule a class visit for a full experience. To schedule, email your resume to Delania Teems for additional details.
  • Online Application Workshop
We host application workshops to help give you insight into the components of the application, and what the committee looks for when reviewing applications.
  •  Admission Meetings at SMU in Plano
We want to meet you, and give you a personal plan to help you navigate the Executive MBA Admissions process. Learn more about the Executive MBA Program in a one on one chat at our SMU Plano Campus. We host time slots throughout the day and evening to accommodate busy schedules. Get more information about the program, curriculum, and professional resources, or get our expert advice on how to put forward your best application in a one on one application workshop.
  • Information Sessions
Meet members of the EMBA staff for an overview of the program including the curriculum, global studies trip, faculty and admissions process. The presentation will include time for Q&A.
  • Preview Day
An MBA Preview Day for Full-Time, Professional and Executive MBA programs will allow candidates to learn about each program and determine which program is most appropriate. Attend a sample case lecture, speak with alumni, attend an overview of the programs with an alumni panel followed by breakout sessions for each program. Light breakfast and lunch are included. The next Preview Day event will be Saturday, October 28 2017, to provide information for Fall 2018 admission. Click Here to Register
