Master the content of the PMBOK® Guide and prepare to pass the PMP® certification exam. 

Based on the project management lifecycle, SMU's Project Management Professional Exam Prep course provides a comprehensive preparation for the PMP® certification exam in an in-person, classroom format. You will develop a mental model for organizing and remembering the specific pieces of information covered in the PMBOK® Fifth Edition, the recommended references, the PMP Exam, and other valuable hints specific to this course from the extensive experience of our instructors.

This intensive in-person course is taught by a seasoned project management professional who shares advice and best practices about how to become a more effective project manager.

PMP® Certification Qualifications 

Candidates for the exam must have at least 35 hours of project management classroom and/or eLearning experience. For those with Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4,500 hours of relevant project experience over at least 36 months in the previous eight years is required. For those without a Bachelor's degree, 7,500 hours of project experience is required. Visit the PMI website for full details. Please note that the PMP exam is changing after January 2016.

SMU has a relationship with Sallie Mae for their Smart Options Continuing Education Student Loan. To apply for this loan and enroll in the PMP Test Prep course, follow the steps below:

YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION FOR THE SALLIE MAE LOAN 14 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF THE PROGRAM.

(Please note: Your requested loan amount cannot exceed the program tuition)
  1. Apply for the loan through our official portal on the Sallie Mae website. You will receive your decision in less than 30 minutes after applying for the loan. 
  2. You will receive an award letter from the CAPE office and a registration email confirming your enrollment in the program.
