Environmental Protection

SMU's Office of Environment, Health & Safety manages the campus environmental compliance program. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all operations at SMU involving the use of hazardous materials are conducted in a manner that the resulting environment impact is minimized. EHS assists campus departments in compliance issues and acts as a liaison between campus departments and local, state and federal environmental regulatory agencies. All environmental permits and inventories are either managed or coordinated through this office.
