A number of computer labs are available throughout campus for SMU use. Each lab offers a variety of software and services.

Locations
Fondren Library Computer Classrooms
The Fondren Library Computer classrooms are for the SMU community: faculty, staff, or students. A valid SMU ID is needed to log onto the computers in the classrooms. The classrooms consist of Apple computers with the Windows OS available in a virtual environment. These machines are loaded with a variety of programs and equipment from word processing to graphic and video editing. The labs are located on the first floor of Fondren Library West. These classrooms may be reserved for instructional use. Faculty and staff may request use of the room by contacting 8-3413.
Cafe 100 in Hughes Trigg
There are a number of Windows computers available to SMU students, faculty and staff located in the Hughes Trigg Student Center. These machines require an SMU ID and password to login. These machines are available 24 hours a day. These computers are limited to Microsoft Office applications and web browsing.

Lab Policies
- In order to print you MUST have a copy card or a Pony Express card.
- You must be courteous to other students and staff in the labs. Please take your cell phone calls to the hallway and lower your ringer volumes. If you are disruptive, you may be asked to leave.
- Save your files to your own removable media or on locker.smu.edu. You cannot store files on the public machines.
- You must not alter the computer loads in any way. If you are found altering the load by trying to add, delete or copy programs, you may be denied further access to the labs.
- You must not tamper with computer equipment in any way. If you are found to be disconnecting or altering the equipment, you may be denied further access to the labs.
- Drinks are allowed in library approved containers. Food is not allowed.
