Terminations must take place by the 90th day of employment. If no action is taken by the 90th day, the individual is considered a regular University employee and performance issues are to be addressed via managerial coaching and the Progressive Discipline process.
In all terminations, Human Resources must be consulted and approve, in advance, any action to be taken. Once approved, the manager must arrange a meeting, in person, to inform the employee about the termination and provide a short explanation regarding the reason(s) for termination. The manager must then complete a termination form and send it to Human Resources immediately.
