Annual Performance Reviews for Dedman College Post-Doctoral Fellows

Effective supervisors provide their staff with information about performance on an ongoing basis throughout the year.  The annual review simply provides a focused opportunity to recognize achievements and identify any performance gaps that require attention, as well as provide clear expectations and suggestions for future performance. The Dedman College Post-Doctoral Fellows review form is intended to facilitate a conversation between the staff member and supervisor about these issues.

Post-Doctoral Fellow Review Process

  1. This form is to be used only for staff with the job classification of post-doctoral fellow.

  2. A supervisor may complete the form on-line and then print it out, or print a blank form and complete it by hand.

  3. After the supervisor completes the form and discusses the feedback with the employee, the employee may add comments directly to the form or attach a separate comments page.

  4. The completed evaluation must be signed by both the supervisor and the employee.

  5. The supervisor should make a copy for the employee and departmental files.

  6. The signed originals are to be sent to the Dedman College Dean's office.

  7. Signed original reviews will then be forwarded to the Department of Human Resources by the Dean's Office.

Resources

The Department of Human Resources has created a online tutorials for managers around conducting good performance reviews.  Some of the tutorial does not match Dedman College's customized form. Managers are encouraged to review Sections 1 and 3 of the Manager's Tutorial.
