Southern Methodist University is committed to maintaining a work and study environment free from discrimination and discriminatory harassment, including workplace discrimination. In keeping with our commitment, we have made arrangements for every employee to participate in an online training program called "Preventing Workplace Discrimination".
The program outlines the current law on discrimination and the University's policies and procedures for reporting discrimination. It also provides examples that illustrate the kinds of words and behavior that might reasonably be regarded as discrimination and discriminatory harassment and therefore should be avoided.
This tutorial should be completed within the first ninety days of employment with the University. You should allow up to one hour to complete the tutorial.
